Boys to Men Tucson approaches mentorship with humility, recognizing that true transformation requires addressing the systemic inequities and barriers that impact masculine-identified youth, particularly BIPOC youth. We are dedicated to building a future where mental health equity and violence prevention are prioritized, ensuring that boys, men, and masculine-identified individuals have equitable access to the frameworks, resources, and systems necessary not just to survive, but to thrive with strength, resilience, and purpose.

We envision a future where:

• Masculinity is redefined in ways that allow boys, men and masculine-identified individuals to express their full humanity, free from harmful societal expectations.
• Boys and masculine-identified youth have safe, trusted, and emotionally healthy role models, both within and beyond their families, fostering resilience, healing, and self-determination.
• Systemic forms of oppression, patriarchy, racism, homophobia, transphobia, ableism, and other power structures are dismantled, eliminating the conditions that fuel violence and harm, particularly against marginalized communities.
• Masculine-identified youth, particularly those from historically marginalized communities, have the skills, confidence, and opportunities to shape their own futures, contributing to a world where they can thrive holistically, mentally, emotionally, and socially.

We believe that mentorship, community accountability, and systems change are essential in achieving this vision. Through our work in Pima County, we are committed to challenging harmful masculinity norms, centering restorative and healing practices, and continuously reimagining and transforming our approach to mentorship and youth development.

Our programming is inclusive of all who identify with masculinity, including boys, men, male, trans, non-binary, and all other masculine-identified individuals, creating spaces where they can develop resilience, heal from trauma, cultivate meaningful relationships, and thrive in a society that values their full humanity.
